Aston Villa won 1-0 against Nottingham Forest in the Championship clash on Saturday.

Aston Villa jumped into the top four after beating Nottingham Forest 1-0 in the Championship clash on Saturday.
Forest, who knocked holders Arsenal out of the FA Cup last week, were beaten by Scott Hogan’s first-half goal in Aitor Karanka’s first match at the City Ground.
Robert Snodgrass once again made a strong impact, as he provided the cross from which Hogan stopped to nod in the 18th minute.

It was Villa’s third successive league victory, and it takes them to fourth in the Championship table, just five points behind second-placed Derby.
Former Aston Villa player Stan Collymore took to the social networking site Twitter to express his reaction. He tweeted: “Up the Villa”.
Nottingham Forest find themselves in the 15th position with 32 points.

Aston Villa managed only 39% of ball possession, and registered three shots on target, according to BBC Sport.
However, Villa looked a side full of confidence and they were defensively rock solid against Forest. Aston Villa will face Barnsley in their next Championship game.
