Aston Villa twice their lead slip against Burnley this afternoon.

Aston Villa threw away more points this afternoon.
Anwar El Ghazi fired Dean Smith’s side into a 1-0 lead against Burnley at the break, but Jay Rodriguez cancelled that out for the visitors midway through the second half.
But John McGinn was on hand to fire Aston Villa into a 2-1 lead with 10 minutes left, though Burnley again pegged back the Villans through Chris Wood.
It would’ve been only the West Midlands’ club second Premier League win of the season and here’s how club legends Stan Collymore and Ian Taylor reacted to Wood’s equaliser.
Throwing away points is becoming a weekly occurrence for Smith’s troops, who remain 18th in the table.
Last week, they led 2-1 against an Arsenal team with 10 men, but conceded twice in the final 10 minutes and wound up losing 3-2.
It’s a huge worry, especially when Aston Villa spent so much on defenders this past summer.
