Speaking to Boylesports, Stan Collymore has predicted Crystal Palace to beat Liverpool this weekend.

The Eagles host Jurgen Klopp’s side at Selhurst Park on Saturday in the late kick-off.

It is a fixture with plenty of history, with many remembering the infamous 3-3 game that ultimately cost Liverpool the title in 2014.

They have enjoyed themselves more since that game, winning on their last two visits to the ground.

Collymore is backing that run to come to an end, though, as he has predicted Crystal Palace to beat Klopp’s side.

“I’m going to give Crystal Palace three points,” he told Boylesports.

“Liverpool are flying, Benteke the law of the ex; he’ll be wanting to do well. [Palace are a] bit of a bogey team for Liverpool. This is my upset of the weekend.”

Liverpool will certainly be hoping that Collymore’s prediction proves to be an incorrect one given the impact it could have.

A win for the Reds could see them go top of the table, should Arsenal and Manchester City fail to win against Sunderland and West Brom respectively.

In contrast, should both those teams secure victories, Liverpool will need all three points to simply keep up the pace with their rivals.

It will make for interesting viewing and perhaps the rest of the games will play a huge part in how this one pans out.
