Former Nottingham Forest and Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has predicted on Boylesports.com that Celtic will win against Rangers this weekend.

Celtic will take on Old Firm rivals Rangers at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.

Former Aston Villa striker Collymore believes that Brendan Rodgers’s side will pick up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 2-0 victory.

“I am going to go for a firm Hoops victory 2-0,” said Collymore on Boylesports.com. “I am sitting straight as a pundit. Do I like Celtic? Yes. Do I get a bit of stick from Rangers fans? Yes.

“But I am looking at it straight down the line as you will expect as a world-class pundit. 2-0 to the Hoops.”

Celtic are in better form than Rangers at the moment and will head into the game on Saturday afternoon as favourites.

The Hoops have better players than the Gers, and the home fans should be optimistic about a positive result.

The chances of Rangers, though, should not be dismissed, as Mark Warburton’s side can get a draw in Glasgow.

The Gers have not made a great start to the season, but they do have some good players, such as Kenny Miller and Joey Barton, who can create problems for Celtic.

The Old Firm derby is one of the greatest and most intense matches in world football, and Saturday’s fixture promises to be hugely entertaining and exciting.
