Celtic face rivals Rangers on Saturday in the second Old Firm derby of the season.
Stan Collymore has told Scott Alcroft at CQN that the Hoops can beat Rangers 3-0 on Saturday as the Old Firm rivals do battle for the second time this season.
The two sides meet in a Scottish Premiership clash at midday on December 30, with Celtic strong favourites to continue their unbeaten run against Rangers since the Gers returned to the top flight of Scottish football.
However, Rangers will take some hope from the fact that Graeme Murty is the only manager since their promotion to have stopped Celtic from winning, as he was in charge when Clint Hill scored a last-minute equaliser to draw 1-1.
Asked who would win on Saturday, former England international and now pundit Collymore claimed that dominating possession of the ball is the key factor in the outcome of the match, before stating Celtic can secure a “2 or 3 nil win.”
“The form and quality suggests a comfortable Hoops win but these games were why the cliché “there are no easy games in football ” was invented,” Collymore said.
“Most important thing is dominating the ball, and if Celtic do that as they’ve done in recent Derbies, I’m happy to go for a 2 or 3 nil win.”
Celtic earned a 2-0 win at Ibrox in September, thanks to second-half goals from Leigh Griffiths and Tom Rogic as Pedro Caixinha failed to provide any kind of consistent form as Rangers boss.
The Hoops will be without Jonny Hayes after he broke his leg against Dundee, while Ryan Jack is a doubt for Rangers after being stretchered off the field on Wednesday night against Motherwell.
