Speaking to Boylesports, Stan Collymore has predicted that Arsenal will beat Sunderland in the weekend’s early kick-off.

The Black Cats host the Gunners at the Stadium of Light looking to turn around their disastrous start to the season.

They have managed just two points under David Moyes so far, going nine games without a win and already sitting five points adrift at the bottom of the table.

Few are betting they will pick up that first victory against Arsene Wenger’s team given they have started the season in fine form and currently sit joint-top of the table alongside Liverpool and Manchester United.

And Collymore is of a similar mind, predicting further disappointment for them in this game.

“Last chance saloon really for me for David Moyes,” he told Boylesports.

“If they were to lose this one and lose it heavily I think the batphone might be ringing for a certain Big Sam.”

“I can’t see Sunderland winning, I’m going to go with Sunderland nil Arsenal two.”

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal do run out as comfortable winners as Collymore predicts they will.

They will certainly be determined to secure all three points as a win will see them go clear at the top of the table and put the pressure on Liverpool and Manchester City to secure wins of their own.

A first win of the league season for the Black Cats, meanwhile, could see them go level on points with Middlesbrough in 17th place, at least temporarily.
