Leeds United are currently in third place in the Championship table.

Stan Collymore has told the Daily Mirror that he has been very impressed by Pontus Jansson, Kyle Bartley, Liam Bridcutt and Souleymane Doukara while watching Leeds United this season.

Leeds have been in superb form throughout the campaign so far, and are currently pushing for promotion in the Championship.

The Whites are stationed in third place in the second tier standings, after going from strength to strength under Garry Monk’s leadership.

Collymore has certainly been impressed by the Whites’ showings this term, and he suggests that the atmosphere at Elland Road has changed.

“I’ve seen the Whites twice this season. I like Pontus Jansson at the back, Monk knows centre-half Kyle Bartley from his days at Swansea,” Collymore said.

“Liam Bridcutt is honest and Souleyman Doukara is a powerful force in the heart of Leeds’ engine-room.

“Just for a change, it’s all systems go at Elland Road.

“There’s no gossip about Massimo Cellino’s latest stunt. Ownership issues have been sorted out. The fans aren’t being marginalised by sky-high ticket prices and the players appear to be singing off the same hymn-sheet.”

Jansson, Bartley and Bridcutt are firm fans’ favourites at Elland Road, after their showings this season.

Jansson and Bartley have formed a brilliant partnership in the heart of the Leeds’ defence, while Bridcutt has been vital in midfield.

Doukara’s inclusion in Collymore’s list of Leeds players who have impressed him is, perhaps, more surprising.

Doukara has had his critics at Leeds, but his improvement since Monk took charge has been vast.

Leeds are next in action later today, when they take on Sutton United in the FA Cup.
