Aston Villa have produced a stunning run to book their place in the Championship play-off places.

Stan Collymore has responded to Tyrone Mings on Twitter, insisting that the Aston Villa loanee has done incredibly since joining Dean Smith’s men on loan during the January transfer window.
The Villans appear to be the team that the Championship play-off hopefuls are most concerned about. Their 1-0 win against Millwall on Monday was their tenth victory on the spin, and they are now guaranteed a spot in the top six.
Many will rightly credit Jack Grealish’s return to the side after overcoming injury as a key reason for the team’s incredible run. His first appearance of 2019 came in the opening game of the current streak.
But Mings’ contribution cannot be overlooked. Villa often looked fragile at the back during the first-half of the season. And with a lack of options, the club left themselves with no choice but to strengthen in January.

Mings was the man to arrive along with Kortney Hause, and the pair have been outstanding. The centre-back in particular is proving a lot of people wrong having struggled with injury and consistency at parent club Bournemouth.
And after the 26-year-old took to social media to express his delight at securing a spot in history as well as a tenth win on the spin, Collymore responded with a lengthy message where he made it clear just how important Mings’ arrival has been to Villa’s season.
