Newcastle United lost 3-1 at Norwich City on Saturday.

Newcastle United lost for the second weekend in a row as they were beaten 3-1 at Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.
The Magpies were hoping to bounce back from last weekend’s 1-0 home defeat to Arsenal, and a trip to newly-promoted Norwich was seen as a chance to get points on the board.
However, Newcastle were blown away by Daniel Farke’s side, with Teemu Pukki smashing a hat-trick to leave the Canaries in cruise control, before Jonjo Shelvey pulled one back for Newcastle.
Steve Bruce has started with two defeats from two as Newcastle boss, and that his side were so thoroughly outclassed by a newly-promoted team is extremely concerning.
Fans already had issues with Bruce’s appointment, but two defeats and just one goal scored has left supporters incredibly concerned about the direction of the club.

After the final whistle at Carrow Road, pundit Stan Collymore took to Twitter to comment on the performance, admitting that Newcastle were ‘outworked’ and ‘looked lethargic’.
Collymore saw plenty of Bruce with his beloved Aston Villa, so noted that Bruce isn’t a manager known for taking risks, and predicts trouble ahead for the Magpies.
