Nottingham Forest are on the hunt for a new manager.

Stan Collymore has taken to social networking site Twitter to offer his services to his former club Nottingham Forest.

Collymore has stated that he will be able to put together a backroom team that would help Forest move forward.

The former Liverpool striker made the comments following the Reds’ decision to part company with Philippe Montanier.

Montanier was relieved of his duties at the City Ground following a goalless draw with Birmingham City away from home at St. Andrew’s in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Forest are a massive club and have a loyal fanbase, but they have been stuck in the Championship for a while now.

The Reds need to have a long-term strategy and should be pushing for a top-six finish in the Championship year after year.

Forest are currently 20th in the standings with just 27 points from 26 matches, only three points above the relegation zone.

Too good to go down to League One at the end of the season? Maybe, maybe not, but what is clear and is undeniable that the Reds are in a relegation battle.
