Aston Villa kick off their Championship season at home tomorrow.

Stan Collymore has taken to Twitter to wish former club Aston Villa the best of luck on their new Championship campaign.

Aston Villa get their new season underway on Saturday as manager Steve Bruce welcomes his old side Hull City to Villa Park.

Aston Villa's new signing John Terry and manager Steve Bruce during the press conference at Villa Park on July 3, 2017 in Birmingham, England.

The Villans finished 13th in the Championship last season, with Bruce only taking charge in October following Roberto Di Matteo’s dismissal, but there is every expectation that the veteran manager will instigate a promotion charge this time around.

The former Sunderland boss has won promotion to the Premier League on four occasions.

And Collymore is certainly hoping that Bruce can manage a fifth come May.

Aston Villa made Josh Onomah their sixth summer signing today, with the Tottenham Hotspur winger arriving on loan for the whole season.
