The best thing about Liverpool’s drab draw this evening was Thiago Alcantara.
Alisson posted a fine display as the Premier League champions drew 0-0 with Manchester United at Anfield.
But aesthetically, the Spain international was one of very few reasons to keep watching if you’re a neutral fan.
Thiago, who joined Liverpool for £20 million this past summer, posted a majestic, nonchalant performance in the Reds’ midfield.
Stylistically there aren’t many who can match the former Barcelona star.
And here’s what Stan Collymore said about his performance on Twitter:
Unfortunately for the reigning champs, the brilliance of Thiago – who forced David de Gea into a good save in the second half – couldn’t lead to any goals for the hosts.
Despite having the better of the chances, this is a better point for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side than Liverpool.
The visitors, who were denied by the brilliance of Alisson on a number of occasions, went into the game on top of the Premier League and they’ll have taken a point all day long.
