Stan Collymore has given his take on Aston Villa attacking midfielder Ross Barkley on Twitter.
The former Villa striker believes that Barkley, signed on loan from Chelsea in the summer of 2020, lacked stamina in the Premier League game against Arsenal on Saturday.
The 27-year-old started the match for the Villans and played for 78 minutes before he was taken off.
According to WhoScored, the former Everton star has completed 90 minutes six times in the Premier League this season.
So far this season, Barkley has scored three goals and provided one assist in 12 Premier League matches for the Toffees, according to WhoScored.
Ross Barkley’s future
Barkley has established himself as an important player in the Villa midfield, and has formed a good partnership with John McGinn and Jack Grealish.
The Englishman’s loan spell at Villa ends at the end of the season, and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for him.

According to Eurosport, Villa are hopeful of making Barkley’s loan deal permanent, with the departure of Frank Lampard as the Chelsea manager giving them a boost.
Considering that Barkley had a hamstring issue this season, it must be said that the English midfielder is doing well for Villa at the moment.
