Stan Collymore says that Tottenham striker Harry Kane is an epitome of consistency.
Ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League clash against Chelsea, popular football pundit Stan Collymore analyses the two strikers – Harry Kane and Alvaro Morata.
The former Liverpool striker says both are different types of strikers and bring different qualities to the team. And therefore, it is difficult to say one is better than the other.
Collymore says that Morata is more effective in a system where the central striker presses high, and the team and the team plays counter-attacking football.
The reason being Morata is quicker than Kane, and his movement off the shoulder is faster than the England international.

The popular football pundit adds that Kane has been an “epitome of consistency”, and a good all-round player.
Kane has proved himself as one of the best strikers in the Premier League, having scored over 25 goals in all competitions in the past three seasons.
Collymore adds that where Morata cuts above Kane in the fact that the Spaniard has proved himself at the elite level of the global game.
To be fair, Collymore is spot on here. Morata has scored in big Champions League games and at international stages, whereas Kane (which is not his fault) is yet to prove himself at European stages.
“If you’re going to play a system which means your central striker can press high and often, or you’re going to play on the counter-attack, then you’d probably say Morata,” wrote Collymore in his column for The Mirror.
“He’s quicker than Kane, his movement off the shoulder of a central defender is much faster, so he’d seriously benefit you that way.
“But if you’re looking for a good all-rounder, someone who can play both types of football in terms of holding the ball up and bringing others into play, as well as doing well when he is facing goal, then you’d say the Tottenham and England man.
“Kane has been the epitome of consistency, winning the Golden Boot for the past two seasons.
“What you can say about Morata, but can’t yet about Kane, is that he has proved himself at the elite level of the global game.”
