Stan Collymore says Sam Allardyce is the right appointment for Everton.

Popular football pundit Stan Collymore wrote on social networking site Twitter that Sam Allardyce is the right choice for Everton at this moment.
Everton appointed Allardyce as their new manager following the departure of Ronald Koeman. And Big Sam delivered a victory in his first game in charge with Everton beating Huddersfield 2-0 at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Judging by reactions on various social platforms, it is quite safe to say that Everton fans weren’t absolutely happy with Allardyce’s appointment.
The Toffees were heavily linked with a move for Watford manager Marco Silva, and only after they failed to sign him, the club went for the former Sunderland manager instead.

Allardyce has been given an 18-month contract, but the former England manager has recently said that he is looking for a longer stay at the Merseyside club.
Collymore says that Allardyce is the right man to take Everton out of the current mess they are in, but he claims that the former West Ham manager won’t be hanging around for more than 18 months.
Football fans quickly responded to his tweet, and the majority seem to agree with his comment. Here are some of the selected tweets:
