Nottingham Forest are currently in seventh place in the Championship table, but Aitor Karanka is said to be under pressure.

Stan Collymore has placed his backing behind Nottingham Forest’s Aitor Karanka, after his former side’s victory over Leeds United.

Forest were excellent against Leeds, as they came from behind to win at the City Ground.

The Reds were troubled by Leeds, but they held strong to claim the three points against the league leaders.

In a topsy-turvy game, Forest had taken the lead early on when Jack Colback capitalised on a short back-pass.

Leeds then had Kalvin Phillips sent off, but anyone expecting Forest to stroll to success was sorely mistaken.

The Whites hit back with two goals in quick succession in the second half, only for Forest to show their powers of recovery.

Karanka’s side managed to pick up a 4-2 victory in the end, with the result surely keeping the Spanish boss in the job for the time being.

And Collymore certainly believes that Forest should be backing Karanka, amid rumours that he could be sacked.

Forest are currently in seventh place in the Championship table, just four points away from the play off spots.
