Everton beat Arsenal 2-1 at Goodison Park yesterday evening.
Stan Collymore has defended Everton’s Ashley Williams and praised Ronald Koeman’s side performance, after they beat Arsenal yesterday.
Everton won 2-1 against the Gunners, after coming from behind to claim the three points.
The Toffees fell behind when Alexis Sanchez’s shot deflected off Williams and into the back of the net.
Williams was criticised by some for not being more agile, but Collymore defended the Welsh international.
In the end, Everton showed great fighting spirit to take the victory.
The Toffees first scored through Seamus Coleman, before Williams scored a late winner.
And Collymore felt that Everton’s performance was highly encouraging for the Goodison Park crowd.
Everton are now in seventh place in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Liverpool at the weekend.
