Stan Collymore has showered praise on Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Ahead of Tottenham’s Premier League clash against Liverpool, popular football pundit Stan Collymore has made an observation about the two managers.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a charming character, and the German is adored by the Reds fans. The Reds have made a stuttering start to their new campaign, but Klopp will be hoping to get things back on track with a win at Wembley.
Collymore has labelled Klopp as one of world’s best salesman. He says that Klopp has very good attacking players, he is not very good in terms of managing football matches.

With Klopp, it is high tempo, high octane rock’n’roll football, but Collymore suggests that Pochettino, the Spurs manager, is a top manager overall.
The former Liverpool striker suggests that Pochettino is good at making defensive plans, midfield plans, and also forward plans.
He says that the Argentine loves developing players and doesn’t get too emotional unlike Klopp. But, he still has a character to him.
Collymore is absolutely spot on here. Both Pochettino and Klopp are great managers, but they are very different from each other. It is hard to say who is better between the two, but in terms of statistics, the Argentine is performing better than Klopp.

Spurs are third in the Premier League with 17 points, while Liverpool are eighth under Klopp with 13 points from eight games.
“It’s Mauricio Pochettino versus Jurgen Klopp at Wembley today and I know which manager I’d rather play for,” wrote Collymore for The Sunday People (printed edition; October 22 – page 49).
“Klopp has very good attacking players, but not a very good plan in terms of managing football matches, slowing games down or speeding them up.
“He has the big smile, the big laugh and catchlines like “rock’n’roll” football – he’s one of the world’s best salesmen. Pochettino has an all-round plan, a defensive plan, a midfield plan and a forward plan. He loves developing players, has a good demeanour and he doesn’t get too high or too low. But he still has a character to him – and you know there’s a bit of spite about him. Poch has got the lot.”
