Could Tony Pulis leave West Bromwich Albion soon?
Former Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore has suggested on Boylesports.com that Tony Pulis’s time as West Bromwich Albion manager is coming to an end.
Pulis was appointed the West Brom manager in January 2015 following the departure of Alan Irvine.
The former Crystal Palace manager’s current contract with the Baggies runs until June 2017, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
While the Welshman has done a decent job at The Hawthorns and has helped West Brom in becoming an established Premier League club, many fans are not happy.
The football that West Brom play under Pulis is quite negative and is devoid of any entertainment.
The Mirror reportedly earlier this month than Pulis is not looking to leave the club anytime soon.
Former Liverpool striker Collymore, though, has suggested that the 58-year-old’s time at the Baggies is coming to an end.
“Albion fans, Tony in or out?” Collymore wrote on Boylesports.com. “Seems stale at the Albion and although the Villa/Albion rivalry over recent years has got more personal, I’m a huge fan of Midlands football and I think Pulis may just have run his course at the Hawthorns. In the world’s richest league it’s no longer enough to stand still and stay in the league.
“You at least have to try to move forward and although Tony may be rightly angry at not getting the signings he wanted, I just wonder what type of player he personally could tempt to Albion anyway? Hodgson got them moving forward, not so sure Pulis will.”
West Brom are 12th in the Premier League table at the moment with four points from as many matches.
The Baggies will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on West Ham United at The Hawthorns in the league.
