His arrival is very much a low-key one, but many have predicted he could be a star for the Toffees based on the impressive stats he showed for the Villans last season.
He was certainly impressive on his Premier League debut on Saturday as he put in an assured display in the 1-1 draw with Tottenham.
Collymore was certainly one who was impressed, predicting that he will be a superb player for the Blues this summer.
It now remains to be seen if Gueye does prove to be a smart signing across this season.
His debut was an impressive one to say the least, with Collymore already drawing comparisons to last season’s title-winning star N’Golo Kante.
If he can continue in a similar vein throughout this year, then there is no denying that Everton may have secured one of the signings of the summer.
