The former forward is not one of the West Ham United star’s many admirers.

Football pundit Stan Collymore has claimed on BBC Radio 5 Live’s 606 that West Ham United star Dimitri Payet is overrated.
The Frenchman was in superb form last season, playing a key a role in the Hammers’ strong first year under Slaven Bilic.
He continued that form across the summer as he was arguably France’s star man at Euro 2016, putting in a series of impressive performances as they reached the final where they were beaten by Portugal.
He has struggled at the beginning of this season but has begun to put in better performances in recent weeks.
It seems Collymore is unconvinced, though, surprisingly claiming that the West Ham man is overrated.
“The second [overrated player] is Dimitri Payet. He is sitting on a huge contract at West Ham,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live 606.
“But if you’re the player that scores goals and free kicks in Euros and has a great first season in the Premier League, is it too unreasonable to expect him to be the difference, as West Ham bed in at home?”

It is fair to say that Collymore is unlikely to find many people that share his opinion about Payet.
Since the beginning of last season, only Mesut Ozil has registered more assists in the Premier League than the Frenchman, while it is a similar story when it comes to key passes.
He is also third when it comes to big chances created and those stats show he is far better than the former forward is giving him credit for.
