Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers crashed out of Europe after a defeat to Progres.

Stan Collymore, Gary Lineker and Trevor Sinclair have joined the masses on Twitter poking fun at Glasgow Rangers, following their exit from the Europa League last night.

Pedro Caixinha’s Ibrox side remarkably crashed out of Europe, following a 2-0 defeat to Progres of Luxembourg.

Progres had never before won a European match in 13 attempts, but proved to be too strong for a totally disjointed Rangers side.

The result ranks as one of the worst in Rangers’ history, and there was disbelief on social media that Caixinha’s men had been defeated.

Rangers came in for widespread ridicule, and Collymore, Lineker and Sinclair were all keen to add their voices, after the Gers’ humiliating exit.

Caixinha is now under severe pressure at Rangers, with calls for him to be sacked growing louder.

The Portuguese boss has not won over the Ibrox crowd, with fears that they are going backwards starting to emerge.
