Ronald Koeman lost his job at Everton earlier today, after a disastrous run of form.

Head coach Ronald Koeman of Everton is seen during a preseason friendly match between FC Twente and Everton FC at Sportpark de Stockakker on July 19, 2017 in De Lutte, Netherlands.

Gary Lineker and Stan Collymore have both reacted quickly, following the news that Ronald Koeman has been sacked by Everton today.

Koeman parted company with Everton after a disastrous run of form, which has seen the Toffees fail to live up to expectations so far this term.

Everton look set to exit the Europa League in the group stages, and they also sit in 18th place in the Premier League table.

The Toffees have not won for five matches across all competitions, with a 5-2 defeat against Arsenal this weekend ultimately proving the end for Koeman.

Everton now begin their search for a new manager, and Collymore feels that they should go after Carlo Ancelotti.

Lineker, meanwhile, opted to focus on the sheer number of Premier League managers who have already lost their jobs this season.

Crystal Palace and Leicester City have already parted ways with Frank De Boer and Craig Shakespeare, respectively, meaning Koeman is the third Premier League manager to lose his job already this term.
