The Norwegian managed the Leicester City midfielder at previous club, FC Copenhagen.

FC Copenhagen boss Stale Solbakken has claimed via the Daily Mail that in two years’ time Leicester City will be praying on their knees that Daniel Amartey signs a new contract.
Amartey arrived at the King Power Stadium in January via Solbakken’s side, who visit the Foxes in the Champions League group stage on Tuesday.
The Ghanaian played just five times as Leicester stormed to the title, however, although he has been a regular since the summer departure of N’Golo Kante to Chelsea.

Leicester were desperate to keep hold of the France international and Solbakken predicts the Foxes will feel the same about Amartey in two years’ time.
“He had developed into a Premier League player (at Copenhagen),” Solbakken said, as quoted by the Daily Mail. “He came here and Kante was playing in his best position, but in two years Leicester will pray on their knees he will sign another contract. He will go in that direction.”

Tomorrow’s encounter will not be Solbakken’s first against Leicester, who lost 2-1 against his Wolverhampton Wanderers side in September 2012.
Foxes stars Kasper Schmeichel, Wes Morgan, Danny Drinkwater, Andy King and Jamie Vardy all started at Molineux, although Paul Konchesky scored the team’s only goal that day.
Solbakken lasted just eight months as Wolves boss, and was re-hired by Copenhagen in August 2013.
