A place in the semi-finals is up for grabs in Paisley

The Betfred Cup returns this week with a semi-final place the prize on offer.
St Mirren host Rangers at the Simple Digital Arena in Paisley on Wednesday, and they’ll be hoping for a significantly better result than the 3-0 defeat they suffered at Ibrox in August.
Steven Gerrard’s side were made to work for the three points that afternoon, however, with the score at 1-0 until Alfredo Morelos scored twice in the final 21 minutes.

The Colombian has found goals hard to come by since then, and has scored just three Premiership goals so far this season. He drew another blank against Dundee United on Sunday, but his side pulled off a 2-1 win at Tannadice thanks to goals from James Tavernier and Connor Goldson.
That result leaves Rangers 13 points ahead of Celtic at the summit.
The hosts, meanwhile, sit tenth in the table. They’ll be hoping to build on Saturday’s confidence-boosting 1-0 win against Motherwell at Fir Park.
FORM
Despite sitting just two points off the bottom, St Mirren have gone seven games unbeaten and pulled off an upset with a 2-1 win over Aberdeen in the previous round.
Rangers are unbeaten in all competitions this season, and have won every domestic game they’ve played since September’s 2-2 draw against Hibs at Easter Road.
