According to reports from Ghanasoccernet.com, West Bromwich Albion will have their £10 million bid for Jeffrey Schlupp rejected by Leicester City.
West Bromwich Albion are interested in securing the services of Schlupp this summer and the Baggies had placed a bid of around £9 million for the Ghanaian international recently.
Leicester immediately rejected the offer but the Daily Mirror had gone on to reveal that West Brom would be looking to table an improved bid this week.
Now according to reports from Ghanasoccernet.com, claims were made that West Brom had recently placed a new offer of around £10 million for Schlupp and that the Baggies had also vowed to double the player’s current wages at the King Power Stadium.
However, the same report adds that West Brom will be facing disappointment in their chase for Schlupp despite the improved offer, as the player is keen on playing Champions League football during the upcoming campaign and Leicester are also not ready to sell the 23-year-old due to the inflationary nature of the transfer market at the moment.
Schlupp featured only sparingly during Leicester’s wonderful Premier League title winning season last term and the winger will be hopeful of earning more minutes on the pitch during the upcoming campaign.
