Sunderland are not willing to match Yann M’Vila’s outrageous wage demands.
Premier League outfit Sunderland will not be pursuing the services of Yann M’Vila due to his huge wage demands, according to reports from Spanish outlet Eldesmarque.
While Sunderland did not enjoy the best of campaigns last term, midfielder Yann M’Vila proved to be a pillar of consistency for the Black Cats.
M’Vila had joined Sunderland on a season long loan deal from Russian side Rubin Kazan and made 37 Premier League appearances, playing a key role in helping the Wearside based outfit retain their top flight status.
As a result of M’Vila’s performances, manager Sam Allardyce was believed to have been very keen on signing the midfielder on a permanent basis this summer (TalkSPORT).
In a boost to Sunderland’s hopes of signing M’Vila, it has been claimed by the Chronicle that the Frenchman had been forced to train alone by Rubin Kazan recently as manager Javi Garcia does not view him as part of his plans for the upcoming season.
In a surprise turn of events though, it seems like Sunderland will not be signing M’Vila after all. According to reports from Eldesmarque, M’Vila has requested wages of around £100,000-per-week and Sunderland are clearly not willing to match such demands.
Now, Sunderland look likely to abandon their interest in M’Vila and Allardyce will have to look at alternatives for the former Rennes star.
