Real Madrid attacker Isco was reportedly ready to make a move to Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window.

According to reports from El Confidencial, Spanish giants Real Madrid were open to allowing attacking midfielder Isco to join Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan deal.
Isco is undoubtedly one of the best young attacking players in Europe, but despite his wonderful talent the 24-year-old has not quite been able to show his true worth at Real to date.
Isco has struggled for regular first-team football at the Santiago Bernabeu since his move to Madrid back in 2003 and with the competition for places so fierce in the Spanish capital; a move away had been seen as a real possibility for the former Malaga superstar.

Given his apparent availability, a number of clubs were understandably keen on securing the services of Isco this summer and the Daily Mirror had claimed during the final few days of the summer transfer window that Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur were keen on making a swoop for the Spanish international.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino had been in the market to sign a new attacking player before the window slammed shut and had reportedly shortlisted Isco, Wilfried Zaha and Moussa Sissoko as his targets.

In the end, Tottenham were able to sign Sissoko and now according to reports from El Confidencial, Spurs had a good chance to land the services of Isco as well.
The report states that Real Madrid were open to allowing Isco to join Tottenham on a season-long loan deal with the player also keen on facilitating the move.
However, the transfer eventually did not come to fruition due to disagreements between Madrid and Tottenham over the financial aspects of the deal, and as a result Spurs instead chose to pursue Sissoko with time running out.
