Everton are reportedly offering around £20 million in an attempt to sign Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony.
According to reports from L’Équipe (via Get Football News France), Everton have offered around £20 million in their hopes of securing the services of Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony.
While Romelu Lukaku deciding to stay put at Goodison Park has given Everton a huge boost, manager Ronald Koeman is in the market to bring in another striker before the end of the summer transfer window.
It has been reported by SkySports that Everton are keen on securing the services of Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini but the Toffees have lined up alternatives as well and the Sun had claimed earlier this month that even Wilfried Bony is a target for the Merseyside based outfit.
Bony has struggled at Manchester City following his £25 million move to the Etihad Stadium from Swansea City back in January 2015 and it is widely believed that Citizens’ boss Pep Guardiola is keen on offloading the Ivory Coast international this summer.
Despite Bony’s struggles at City, a number of Premier League clubs have been credited with an interest in the 27-year-old and Everton have recently emerged as a leading contender.
Now according to reports from L’Équipe, revelations can be made that Everton are offering around £20 million in an attempt to land Bony and the Toffees are hopeful of beating West Ham United to the signing of the striker.
Things have not quite worked out for Bony at City but there is no doubting the fact that he is a quality player and the Ivorian could well prove to be a decent signing for Everton this season.
