According to reports from RMC Sport, Championship duo Norwich and Brighton & Hove Albion are interested in signing Uruguayan international Diego Rolan.

Rolan has managed to establish himself as one of the most promising young strikers in Europe since making a move to Bordeaux from Defensor Sporting back in 2013 and a number of big clubs are believed to be currently courting the services of the 23-year-old.

In somewhat surprising reports from RMC Sport though, it has been claimed that Championship duo Norwich and Brighton are currently considering a move for Rolan.

The report state that giants Manchester United and Bayern Munich had sent scouts to the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux to have a closer look at Rolan during Bordeaux’s clash against Nantes last Sunday and add that the Championship duo are also keen on his services.

Both Norwich and Brighton are hopeful of earning promotion into the Premier League this season and the two sides have shown a lot of ambition in the transfer market so far.

Signing a player like Rolan would certainly represent a major coup for Norwich and indeed Brighton but it remains to be seen as to whether the Championship duo will be able to stave off competition from the likes of United and Bayern to sign the promising attacker.
