New Newcastle United left-back Achraf Lazaar has praised the Magpies’ faithful as well as the club’s modern infrastructure.

Speaking to Tutto Mercato, Newcastle United new boy Achraf Lazaar has stated that he has been left very impressed with the St. James’ Park faithful.
Lazaar enjoyed a wonderful campaign with Italian Serie A club Palermo last season and as a result of his fine exploits a host of clubs were believed to be interested in securing the services of the 24-year-old this summer.

Italian heavyweights Fiorentina were reportedly very keen on signing Lazaar but rather surprisingly the defender decided to join Championship club Newcastle instead.
Recently Lazaar has gone on to reveal that he indeed received an offer from Fiorentina but he rejected the advances of the Italian side in order to pursue his dream of playing in England (The Chronicle).

Two weeks into his time at St. James’ Park, Lazaar has now spoken regarding the transfer to Newcastle and has explained that he has been left extremely impressed by the fantastic support from the fans as well as the wonderful infrastructure present at the Tyneside based club.
He told Tutto Mercato, “I saw the facilities, the environment is very different from Italy. There’s incredible organisation, a beautiful stadium, fantastic fans.
“Here we’ve fifty-two thousand subscribers (season ticket holders), a fantastic reality. They treated me very well from day one, here you feel one hundred percent as a player. Here you can grow, if you want to grow up and get where you cannot even imagine. No limits.”
