FC Zurich are allegedly in the race to sign Bournemouth forward Tokelo Rantie.
According to reports from Football Direkt, FC Zurich are interested in signing Bournemouth player Tokelo Rantie.
Rantie joined Bournemouth from Malmo during the summer of 2013 for a fee of around £2.5 million and while the striker played a prominent role for the Cherries during his debut season, he has struggled for minutes on the pitch in recent times.
Rantie featured for a measly 108 minutes of action for Bournemouth last season and it is clear to see that the South African striker does not feature in the plans of manager Eddie Howe.
With Rantie having entered the final year of his contract at the Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth will surely be looking to move the 25-year-old on this summer if at all possible.
Now in a further development surrounding the future of Rantie, Football Direkt have gone on to claim that the South African international has caught the eye of Swiss side FC Zurich.
The report states that FC Zurich are planning to land Rantie on a season-long loan deal as they do not possess the financial resources to facilitate a permanent move, but the Swiss giants are ready to cover the entirety of the striker’s wages.
