Aston Villa attacker Gabriel Agbonlahor has posted a couple of cryptic messages on social media hinting at his exit from Villa Park.

Agbonlahor was one of the most popular players among the Aston Villa faithful not too long ago, after breaking into the first-team back in 2005 and going on to establish himself as a key figure of the squad over the years.
However, the Villa fans fell out of love with Agbonlahor last season after less than committed displays on the pitch as well as a host of indiscretions off it.

The 29-year-old was suspended by Villa in April after being pictured holding a shisha pipe (BBC) while on holiday in Dubai and he was once again disciplined (BBC) by the club later in the month after being pictured with laughing gas canisters.
As a result, Agbonlahor resigned (BBC) from his captaincy and it was widely believed that the club would be looking to dispense with the services of their former youth product this summer.

Recently, the Daily Mirror revealed that manager Roberto Di Matteo had told Agbonlahor that he was free to leave the club and now the striker has gone on to post a couple of cryptic messages on social media website Instagram which seemingly confirms his exit from the club.
He wished Villa’s players good luck for the rest of the season on Instagram on Sunday and added: “Thank u for all your support but sometimes good things come to an end” and has followed up the post stating that he is on his way to London.
If indeed Agbonlahor has departed Villa, the manner of his exit is most certainly a bit sad, but the Midlands faithful will surely remember their record goalscorer in the Premier League with fond memories.
