Miguel Llera has tipped former side Sheffield Wednesday for promotion next season.

Speaking to the Sheffield Star, former Sheffield Wednesday defender Miguel Llera has predicted that the Owls will finish in the top two during the upcoming season.
Sheffield Wednesday suffered a heartbreaking loss in the Championship play-offs at the hands of Hull City last season and while the defeat was most certainly difficult to swallow, it has to be said that the Owls enjoyed a productive campaign overall.
Not many expected Wednesday to even finish in the top six last term and reaching the final of the play-offs certainly represents a huge improvement for the club.
Having managed to keep hold of the services of manager Carlos Carvalhal, one can be sure that Wednesday will be eyeing promotion during the upcoming campaign and they look well poised to do so.

Now former Wednesday defender Llera has gone on to reveal his thoughts regarding Wednesday and has backed them to earn promotion next year.
Llera stated that Wednesday already have a strong base to consolidate upon and a good start to the season could see them finish in the top two.
Speaking to the Sheffield Star, the 36-year-old said, “Carlos is a person with vast knowledge and experience. Wednesday already have a solid base and I think it will be key for them to start next season properly.
“It took them until around October time to find consistency last season. If they start well from the beginning, I believe they can fight for the top two. It’s a tough league but they have the base to do well.”
