Tottenham Hotspur ace Eric Dier is a transfer target for Manchester United, with The Sun reporting the Red Devils are ready to commit £40 million to sign the England ace.
Dier is tied to Tottenham, signing a long term deal with the club last summer, but could there be one factor which convinces him to move to Manchester United?
That would be Dier’s admiration for former Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic, who he admitted last month prompted him to wear the number 15, speaking to the Players’ Tribune.

Should he move to Manchester United, Dier would likely be successful in securing his favoured shirt.
United’s current number 15 is Adnan Januzaj, but he has been shunted out on loan to Sunderland this season, where he has been largely ineffective.
He is unlikely to figure in Jose Mourinho’s plans next season, freeing up the shirt for Dier if he signs.
Prior to this season the number 15 had laid vacant for two years after Vidic’s departure, with Januzaj holding Ryan Giggs’ number 11 shirt, now taken by Anthony Martial.
