Erik Lamela has finally broken Tottenham Hotspur’s players’ social media silence after their game against Everton.
Spurs were beaten 5-4 on Wednesday in the FA Cup, and since the defeat their squad has been very quiet on Twitter and Instagram.
No Tottenham player had posted any messages until last night, when Lamela wrote an encouraging note on Instagram.
That fact that Lamela was the first to speak is arguably not a surprise as he was one of the players to leave Goodison Park in credit.
The £25 million Argentine (Independent) put in a very impressive display in Spurs’s last game, and got on the scoresheet with a fine finish.
Lamela has now made a big impact off the bench and caught the eye from the start in Tottenham’s last two games and looks to be forcing his way into Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up.
Spurs are next in action tomorrow against Manchester City, and it would now be a surprise if Lamela isn’t picked again.
