West Ham United fans on Twitter have made it clear that they cannot see Tottenham selling Kyle Walker-Peters to them.
The Mirror (02/08 page 64) have claimed that Southampton are trying to rush through a deal for Walker-Peters because they fear West Ham will come knocking for the Spurs defender.
Walker-Peters was on-loan at St Mary’s for the second half of the recently concluded campaign and it does seem as though his future in North London is coming to an end.
West Ham fans cannot see the right-back make a switch to East London because they cannot see Daniel Levy doing a deal with them, as the Tottenham academy product is seemingly valued at £12 million.
Plus, they have questioned whether he is the right player for them, as David Moyes may need to bolster that area ahead of the quick turnaround for the new season in September.
Pablo Zabaleta left West Ham before the restart, along with youngster Jeremy Ngakia, with Ben Johnson and Ryan Fredericks the two current right-backs at the club.
But since Fredericks moved to the London Stadium two seasons ago, he has struggled to impress his fans, whilst Johnson is still coming through.
Whether Walker-Peters is the man for them remains to be seen, but a section of the Hammers faithful have been pretty honest in what they think of the rumour:
