Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Florian Thauvin.

According to reports from RMC Sport in France, Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs interested in bringing in Marseille winger Florian Thauvin this summer.
Spurs are in the Champions League once again next season, and with the move to a new stadium coming this summer, fans are hoping for a big arrival in the transfer market – such as Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale.
However, another left-footed winger has been linked with a move to North London, as Marseille star Florian Thauvin is reportedly a target for Mauricio Pochettino.

Thauvin, 25, would be something of a risk for Tottenham. His brief stint with Newcastle United was a complete disaster following his 2015 move from Marseille, as he hit just one goal in 16 games.
Bringing him back to England would be a huge gamble for Spurs, but his form since returning to Marseille – coupled with his displays under Pochettino’s mentor Marcelo Bielsa – suggest Spurs may just allay some fears.
Thauvin hit a staggering 25 goals and 13 assists in all competitions this season, whilst he also notched 15 goals and eight assists last season as he has seemingly got his head down and found his best form in France.

Additionally, Thauvin thrived under Pochettino’s famed mentor Bielsa, notching five goals and four assists under the Argentinian whilst showing the flair which tempted Newcastle into a move.
Last summer, RMC Sport claimed that Pochettino had been speaking to Bielsa about signing Thauvin, and a move would make sense with Bielsa’s backing, given how Pochettino’s tactical approach is rooted in Bielsa’s strategy, potentially giving Spurs fans reason to be encouraged by a move for Thauvin despite his prior Newcastle woes.
