Speaking to Off The Ball, Martin Lipton has been discussing Tottenham’s hunt for a new centre-back this summer.
The north London club will be in the market for a new defender in the summer as Clement Lenglet heads back to Barcelona after his loan spell.
According to Lipton, there are a few players Spurs are looking at, and one of those is Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie.
Indeed, the north London club are supposedly having a real look at Hincapie as well as Napoli’s Kim-Min Jae.

Spurs want Hincapie
Lipton spoke about Tottenham’s interest in the Bundesliga ace
“They’re looking at Hincapie at Bayer Leverkusen, he is definitely one they are looking at. The Korean at Napoli who used to be at Fenerbahce, but why would you leave Napoli at the moment? There were some others, Skriniar was one, but he’s definite for PSG. I don’t think there’s any serious interest in Maguire at the moment,” Lipton said.
Gettable
Tottenham want to sign Hincapie, and you have to imagine that this is a deal that could well get done.
Indeed, according to some reports, Hincapie is keen to join Spurs, and after an underwhelming season so far with Leverkusen, a number of top stars may be looking to leave the German club before too long.
Hincapie does suit Spurs’ style with his ability on the ball and the fact he’s left-footed, and at the age of just 21, he has loads of room to improve
The so-called ‘tremendous’ defender is certainly one to keep an eye on.
