Speculation is rife that Tottenham Hotspur could sign Everton duo Anthony Gordon and Richarlison.

According to Sky Sports today, Spurs are interested in signing the Toffees pair in what would be a double deal.

With Everton also heavily linked to signing Harry Winks, there is the potential for a nifty – albeit confusing – arrangement in which the Lilywhites use their midfielder to lower the asking price by including him as a makeweight.

However, Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge has revealed that both deals are completely independent of one another at the moment, revealing that it’s ‘separate interest’.

But Bridge did reveal that all parties are in agreement that Winks to Goodison Park is the best course of action.

He told Sky Sports News: “This is breaking news, straight off the bat. This will be separate. That’s separate interest. Frank Lampard likes Harry Winks. He thinks he can get him to back to playing like he was a few years ago. I think Frank Lampard wants it to happen, Spurs want it to happen and Winks want it to happen.”

Winks leaving Tottenham definitely has to happen.

With Spurs signing Yves Bissouma and no doubt another midfielder at some point, there’s simply no room for the Hotspur Way graduate in Antonio Conte’s squad any longer.

Winks, to his credit, did improve a lot when the Italian manager first came aboard in November, with Nuno Espirito Santo exiling the England international for a time, but it wasn’t a sustained improvement and now he looks set to again.
