Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on Hoffenheim defender Jeremy Toljan.

With question marks over the future of Kyle Walker, Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a host of full backs – and a new target emerged on Wednesday.
Sky Sports report that not only are Spurs looking at Porto’s Ricardo Pereira and Bayer Leverkusen’s Benjamin Henrichs, Hoffenheim ace Jeremy Toljan is also being pursued by Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
Toljan, 22, joined Hoffenheim from hometown club Stuttgart in 2011, and he has become a regular with the Bundesliga side having played 20 league games this past season.
A Germany Under-21 international tipped for a bright future having played in Germany’s Olympics side last summer, Toljan could fit the bill perfectly for Tottenham.

On the pitch, Toljan can play at left back or right back, whilst he has experience of playing as a wing back too, making him a versatile option for Spurs boss Pochettino, which is vital when he switches from 4-2-3-1 to 3-4-2-1, whilst he also possesses great pace and attacking threat – something that Spurs would miss if Walker leaves.
Off the pitch, Toljan fits the bill for Spurs given that his contract with Hoffenheim expires in 2018, meaning that the German side may be forced to cash in now rather than see him walk away in a year’s time.

That situation should be hugely appealing to Tottenham’s famously frugal chairman Daniel Levy, who may be able to sense a bargain deal in the offing for a talented, young and versatile defender entering the final year of his contract.
The Sun reported in March that Chelsea have been scouting Toljan, and Spurs and Levy – if they expect to lose Walker this summer – should be focusing on attempting to convince Hoffenheim to sell whilst they still can this summer, rather than allow him to potentially head to Stamford Bridge instead.
