The Dutchman says he feels the appreciation from Tottenham fans and that he can handle the Argentine’s tough training.

Tottenhm Hotspur summer signing Vincent Janssen has been discussing his start to life at White Hart Lane this week.
The Dutchman may not have scored yet but the Spurs fans have been impressed by his play so far and he has come desperately close to finding his first goal on a number of occasions.

The striker insisted to Algemeen Dagblad this week whilst away on international duty with the Netherlands that he has been welcomed by the Tottenham players and that he can feel the support of the Spurs faithful:
“I’ve always really had the urge to prove myself. Maybe that’s my greatest talent.
“From the fans I notice that they appreciate my game. And within the squad acceptance was actually right.
“We have a young, ambitious group arrived without egos. That made it easier, I think. I am really fantastically welcomed.”

He then went on to comment on the training at Tottenham under Mauricio Pochettino. It is often commented by current Spurs players that training under the Argentine is the most intense they have ever encountered.
Janssen is no different, but he told AD that he can handle it:
“I have really been broken in recent months.
“I’ve never trained so hard. And the first time I played, it was like everything happened in a different gear.
“That intensity demands a lot, but I find I can handle it. Now the trick is to pull through that, even with Oranje.”

The striker is certainly looking like a player that Spurs fans could learn to love and certainly appreciate.
But he does need to find the back of the net soon to avoid it becoming something of a burden to carry.
He will be hoping he can lessen the load when Spurs take on Stoke City this weekend.
