Harry Kane missed the majority of the second-half of Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League win.
Harry Kane has admitted on Instagram that he was gutted to miss the rest of Spurs’ Champions League tie with Manchester City on Tuesday night after coming off injured, but insisted that he plans to come back stronger than ever.
Kane came off in the early stages of the second-half after a challenge from City’s Fabian Delph. The striker needed to be helped into the dressing room as he made his way down the tunnel, and Mauricio Pochettino confirmed after the game, in comments reported by BBC Sport, that Spurs fear that he could miss the rest of the season.
It remains to be seen if that is the case. But Kane certainly seemed to rule himself out of the return leg next week by sending a message to his teammates on social media to go on and make sure that they do everything they can to book their semi-final ticket.
The striker suggested that he was upset that he had to come off, but issued a positive message about his upcoming recovery.

What will give Tottenham some belief is that the decisive goal in the first-leg came after Kane had already been replaced. Son Heung-min bagged the winner with 12 minutes remaining to hand Spurs an advantage heading into next week.
Pochettino’s side have stepped up when their talisman has been missing in the past. Of course, they would pick having Kane in their side every single time, but perhaps this is the kind of setback that could galvanise the squad ahead of what could be a historic few weeks for the club.
