Hugo Lloris has praised West Ham star Dimitri Payet.
France’s Hugo Lloris
Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has told the club’s official website that he felt West Ham’s Dimitri Payet confirmed his quality against Romania on Friday.
France kicked off their home European Championships campaign against Romania at the Stade de France, and after a shaky start, Olivier Giroud headed France in front from a Payet cross.

Bogdan Stancu’s equalising penalty threatened to spoil the party for France, but Payet produced yet another moment of magic by smashing home a long range strike into the top corner.
The 29-year-old playmaker is coming off a superb season with West Ham, where he hit 12 goals and 12 assists, and has now taken that form to the international stage.

The former Marseille man has received praise from pundits and players alike for his performance against Romania, and now a team-mate and London rival has offered his view.
Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris – who produced a superb save to deny Romania early on – plays for West Ham’s fierce rivals Tottenham, but on the international stage he’s Payet’s team-mate.

After the final whistle in Saint-Denis, goalkeeper Lloris spoke to Tottenham’s official website about the game, and raved about Payet – claiming that he confirmed his quality on the international scene after a stunning campaign for West Ham in the Premier League.
“Payet had a great season with West Ham, he just confirmed his talent,” said Lloris. “This goal was amazing and the feeling difficult to describe, like a relief!” he added.
