Danny Rose has admitted to Don E Music’s Instagram channel that he wished he’d left Tottenham Hotspur three years ago.
Tottenham had arguably their finest season in the 2016/17 campaign, when they pushed Leicester City very hard for the title.
Although Spurs eventually fell just short, the Lilywhites played some scintillating football that year.
Rose and Kyle Walker both caught the eye for Spurs, with the full-backs attracting interest from elsewhere.
It was Walker who Spurs decided to sell in the summer though, with the England international moving to Manchester City.

And Rose said: “I was doing well in the 2016/17 season. I had a chance of leaving Tottenham and then I got injured and it killed me.
“Kyle Walker left, which he deserved to and I was over the moon for him, but some part of me wished it was me.”
Rose spoke out in the summer of 2017, suggesting that Tottenham’s players deserved better pay.
Those comments didn’t go down particularly well with Spurs supporters or their manager at the time, Mauricio Pochettino.
The 29-year-old’s form has steadily dropped since then too, with Spurs now looking to move him on.
Rose has been loaned out by Tottenham to Newcastle United for the rest of the campaign, and there have been suggestions that the move could be made permanent at the end of the season.
