Tottenham Hotspur beat Bournemouth 5-1 on Sunday afternoon and got a big hand from the opposition goalkeeper.
Hugo Lloris – 6.5/10
One shaky moment with his feet but the Frenchman wasn’t really troubled apart from that and the first goal.
Danny Rose – 6.5/10
The Tottenham left-back was poor for Bournemouth’s goal but, as usual, did well going forward. Delivered a fluky cross to set up Mousa Dembele’s goal but it did the job.
Toby Alderweireld – 7.5/10
The centre-back was particularly good getting forward and in the air.
Jan Vertonghen – 6.5/10
Not the Belgian’s most eventful day, with Bournemouth hardly threatening.
Kyle Walker – 6.5/10
An average showing from the right-back, although he got forward reasonably well.
Eric Dier – 7/10
No problems from one of Tottenham’s most consistent players. Helped out both defensively and in attack.
Dele Alli – 6.5/10
Quieter than usual but did his job and got involved in the build-up play, of which there was plenty for the north London side.
Christian Eriksen – 9/10
The creative force for Spurs and so important when it comes to helping out Harry Kane.
Mousa Dembele – 7/10
Didn’t set the world on fire against a poor Bournemouth side but did do well and netted before the break, too.
Erik Lamela – 7.5/10
Another one to be helped out by some terrible defending but the Argentine did well on the ball and also netted for Tottenham.
Harry Kane – 9/10
Many will feel Kane was handed his goals on a plate by the Bournemouth shot stopper but he was constantly putting pressure on the Cherries defence for his hat-trick – and this game should be a huge confidence booster for him.
Artur Boruc – 10/10
As a Spurs player, the Bournemouth goalkeeper was superb… At fault for most of the goals, it was like the visitors had a 12th man…
Substitutes
Ryan Mason and Kieran Trippier came on (Mason a lot earlier) in the second half with the game already won and enjoyed a few minutes of solid football each. Clinton Njie was also introduced late on.
