Tottenham Hotspur went came from behind to beat Borussia Dortmund 1-2 and win their Champions League group. Here are the player ratings:

Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris – 5/10
Should have done better to close the space on Aubameyang for his goal.
Centre-back: Eric Dier – 7/10
Forced a world-class save from Burki and defended very well. Covered for his team-mates superbly.
Centre-back: Davinson Sanchez – 5/10
Played Aubameyang onside for the goal and wasn’t as dominant as usual.

Centre-back: Jan Vertonghen – 6/10
Not his finest performance for Spurs. Dragged out of position for Aubameyang’s goal.
Right wing-back: Serge Aurier – 6/10
Poor at the back but relentless in attack.
Defensive midfield: Harry Winks – 8/10
Thrived in the middle of the pitch despite the Dortmund pressure around him. Probably the best Spurs player on the night; completed an incredible 94% of his 77 passes.

Central midfield: Christian Eriksen – 4/10
Picked up where he left off at the weekend, that is to say: barely playing. Bafflingly bad.
Left wing-back: Danny Rose – 7/10
It’s not quite “Danny Rose is back!” but we’re not far off that. A quality showing.

Attacking midfield: Dele Alli – 8/10
Quiet for vast spells of the game but contributed both assists, the first was lucky but the second showcased his persistence and skill to drive into the Dortmund defence and find Son.
Striker: Heung-Min Son – 7/10
Ran his socks off all night. Missed a great chance after 30 minutes but scored an emphatic goal late on.
Striker: Harry Kane – 8/10
Barely active in the first half but unplayable in the second. His goal was a masterpiece of clinical striker work.

Sub: Moussa Dembélé – n/a
Came on for Dele after 81 minutes.
Sub: Moussa Sissoko – n/a
Came on for Eriksen after 84 minutes.
Sub: Fernando Llorente – 4/10
Came on for Kane after 86 minutes. A heavy touch saw him mess up a chance to make it 1-3.
