Tottenham Hotspur striker Troy Parrott has admitted that he is a Celtic fan and is already aware of Ange Postecoglou.
Celtic fan Troy Parrott may know more than his Tottenham Hotspur teammates about Ange Postecoglou.
Australian Postecoglou was appointed as Tottenham boss last week and will be assessing his squad.
The future of one striker is up in the air with Harry Kane continuously linked away from Tottenham.
Grabbing slightly fewer headlines is Parrott, who is returning from a loan spell at Preston North End.
The Irishman was once backed for a huge future at Tottenham having shown enormous potential in Ireland and then in North London.
Parrott only managed three league goals for PNE and the 21-year-old’s future at Tottenham is unclear.
Postecoglou must figure that out over the summer and it turns out that Parrott is already well aware of him.
Troy Parrott admits supporting Celtic amid Ange Postecoglou move
Parrott is now on international duty with Ireland and has been asked about his Tottenham situation.
Speaking to the Irish Independent, Parrott admitted that he actually supports Celtic so is already aware of Postecoglou.
Parrott noted that he has watched quite a few Celtic games in the Postecoglou era and likes the attacking style.
Parrott thinks Postecoglou seems like a ‘good manager’, and hopes to feature under him at Tottenham.
“I’ll go back there in pre-season and try and show him what I can do,” said Parrott. “Definitely, I want to play there so, whatever steps I have to take to get there, I’m willing to do it.”

“I support Celtic, I’ve watched quite a few of their games, he seems like a good manager, it seems like he wants to play good attacking football, so we’ll see what happens,” he added.
Tottenham may need attacking options this summer but it will be difficult for Parrott to break in.
The Irishman didn’t quite seize his Championship chance with PNE and another loan move may be on the cards.
Parrott may even need to consider a permanent exit in order to play regularly and settle down in his career.
Postecoglou will weigh up Parrott soon enough and decide his Tottenham future in what could be a big summer of upheaval at Spurs.
