Ryan Mason’s time as interim boss has come to an end with the season now over, and Football.London claim that Tottenham have settled on the man they want to bring in.
One name heavily linked is Hansi Flick, who has decided to leave Bayern Munich after winning the Bundesliga title.
The Guardian reported last week that talks had been held with Flick, with Daniel Levy keen to bring in the manager branded ‘top notch’ by Arsenal stopper Bernd Leno.
Sadly, Spurs have missed out on Flick, as he has been confirmed as the next Germany manager today, replacing his former mentor Joachim Loew.
Bild now claim that Tottenham fought until the very end for Flick, attempting to convince him to snub Germany and head to the Premier League right up until he accepted the Germany job.
Levy and co were seemingly very interested in Flick, and for good reason; he won the Champions League last term and just clinched another league title.
Ultimately though, Flick has chosen international management over the Premier League, and Tottenham must now go back to the drawing board.
