The January transfer window is coming to an end, and it’s around this time of the month that teams begin to panic.
One side that still has a lot of work to do is Tottenham Hotspur.
Big things were expected at Spurs this month. This is Antonio Conte’s first window in charge of the club, and one would imagine that he’d been promised a few things when he took the job.
Plenty of players have been linked, but there hasn’t been a single incoming at Spurs as of yet.
Meanwhile, it’s a similar story in terms of outgoings, the likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Matt Doherty and Dele Alli have all been linked with moves away, but as of yet, nothing has come to fruition.
Interestingly, Ndombele has reportedly been the subject of a player exchange offer from PSG, but, in our view, Spurs may want to strike a similar deal with a different player.
Cast your mind back to this time last year. Dele Alli was in a very similar position at Tottenham, he was on the fringes of the first-team and apparently looking for a way out.
PSG was touted as a potential destination, and Le Parisians even reportedly offered Spurs a swap deal that included Julian Draxler at the time.
One year later, every party is pretty much in the same boat.

Spurs need more creativity in their midfield, PSG need to get rid of Draxler, Alli needs to get out of north London and according to recent reports, Draxler is keen on a move to Spurs.
This move would make a lot of sense. Draxler is an incredibly talented player who could flourish if given the right opportunity. After all, he’s been described as ‘quality’ by Thomas Tuchel in the past.
Meanwhile, Alli’s race is seemingly run at Spurs, and a reunion with Mauricio Pochettino could be just what he needs.
PSG were willing to offer Draxler to Spurs this time last year, but perhaps Spurs should turn the table on the Ligue 1 side and offer Alli for the 28-year-old this time around.
Swap deals rarely happen in football, but this is one that would make a lot of sense, especially as PSG tried to get Ndombele out of Tottenham by using a similar method of negotiation.
